The Digicorder is built from discrete diode-transistor logic in the same family as the IME 86 calculator and uses the same card cage arrangement. Like all IME machines, the internal construction is modular and highly engineered, the external appearance is stylish.

Card Reader
The Digicorder can optically read an 8-channel code from punched cards. The cards are driven from one side of the machine to the other by a motor and rubber wheel.
